| 内容 | The Zhejiang University/University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (the ZJU-UIUC Institute) invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at all levels and in areas of engineering and science that match its multidisciplinary mission. The ZJU-UIUC Institute is a new engineering college on the new Zhejiang University (ZJU) International Campus in Haining, China, about 120 km southwest of Shanghai. The ZJU-UIUC Institute conducts teaching and research in broad program themes of engineering and system sciences; information and data sciences; and energy, environment, and infrastructure sciences. Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in civil and environmental engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, and mechanical engineering. Applications are welcome from relevant engineering disciplines, physics, materials science, and mathematics. Candidates are especially sought whose interests address interdisciplinary topics exemplified by intelligent infrastructure, digital manufacturing, transportation electrification, environmental sustainability, energy and water integration, mobile systems, thermal management, high-performance and distributed computing, terahertz technology and systems, communications and networks, advanced electronics and photonics, and atomic-scale materials. Classes and student activities at the ZJU-UIUC Institute are conducted in English. Successful candidates will initiate and lead collaborative research and teaching, and perform academic and professional service duties associated with the ZJU-UIUC Institute. They will be leaders for teaching and research innovation, giving students a meaningful and interactive engineering education. n Assistant professor candidates must have an earned doctorate and at least two years of post-degree experience, excellent academic credentials, strong research plans, and an outstanding ability to teach effectively. n Mid-career candidates must be established leaders in their field; exhibit strong records of teaching, publication, and funded research; and demonstrate participation in interdisciplinary collaborations. n Senior appointments are available for persons of international stature seeking to build substantial interdisciplinary research and teaching programs. Faculty positions report to the ZJU-UIUC Institute, and new faculty members will serve as Joint Institute Fellows on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campus for one year prior to work in China. The search process will continue until positions are filled or through July 30, 2017. Salary and research initiation support will be commensurate with qualifications and competitive with international norms.
