上文中perish in the line of duty就是“因公殉职”的英文表达，perish是比较正式的词，一般情况下可以直接用die来替代；另外，也可以用be killed in the line of duty来表示，如：The police officer was killed in the line of duty during a criminal investigation.（那名警官在进行一宗刑事案件调查时因公殉职。）
