读者Tiny TLK 问：怎么分辨 "press the open button" 中的 "press" 是主语（subject）还是动词（Verb）？
一句句子的主语，按理都是名词。 为什么有一些句子，就像Tiny TLK 提出的 "press the open button" 以动词开头呢？
原因是 "press the open button" 是一句指令性的句子，imperative mood。指令性句子的主词永远是you，而且大部分情况下会被省略（也有例外），因此便产生以动词为开端的句子了。
我们平常看到的路标或其他公共标语，大多是指令性句子，像：
Go! 去
Pay here 在此付款
Do not litter 不要乱抛垃圾
Insert your card 插入提款卡
Enter your password 输入密码
