While parents who are clearly and embarrassingly inappropriate come in for ridicule, many of us are drawn to the idea that with just a bit more parental elbow grease, we might give our children assured futures. Is there really anything wrong with a kind of "overparenting lite"?
Anthony 问，inappropriate 通常用来形容不当行为，这里却用来形容父母，是否合适？又，"overparenting lite" 中的 "lite" 是什么意思？
Inappropriate 是形容词，用来修饰名词，不管那名词是显示动作、人、地、时，都可以用得上。
至于 lite，是 light 的俗写，意思是轻微，与 heavy 相对。我们可以把 lite 称为「轻微版」，如 light beer 的酒精浓度较一般啤酒低。
Overparenting 指父母过分紧张焦虑，整天为子女的一切张罗的状况，而 overparenting lite 就是 overparenting 的轻微版：紧张还紧张，但尚算不失分寸，不至于过火。
