| 内容 | T：Have you heard about Michael's new home? It's in one of the poshest areas in this area. 你听说过麦克新房的事吗?那可是那个地方最棒的地方了。 E：Is he living in the new housing estate in Kidlington? 他是住在基德灵盾的新小区里吗? T：No, he's living in an old house in Warston. 不是，他住在沃斯盾的老房子里。 E：Do you mean the one near the health centre on Old Slate Road? 你是说老石板街健康中心旁边那个? T：That's the one. 就是那个。 E：His house must be worth millions! That is one of the most beautiful areas in Oxford. The surrounding area is really peaceful, and getting into the city centre from there is very convenient. How can he afford that place? 他的房子得值好几百万!那可是牛津最美的地方。周围环境特别安静，而且到市中心也很方便。他怎么能住得起那么好的房子? T：He didn't buy it. His grandfather died recently and left him loads of money. 不是他买的。他祖父最近刚刚去世，给他留下了大笔的遗产。 E：Did he know that his grandfather was so wealthy? 他知道他祖父很有钱吗? T：No one in the family expected to get a dime from him. It must be difficult being him. 真惨。他可真不容易。 T：You can say that again. 可不是嘛。 |
